Revolutionizing Medicine in the 21st Century: Advances in Medical Technology Four-part lecture series features three speakers from P&S

WHAT: Beginning April 29, the fourth annual “Revolutionizing Medicine in the 21st Century” lecture series will explore how modern technology is expanding our understanding of medical science and opening up the frontiers of medicine. Columbia doctors Mary D’Alton (chairman, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, P&S), Michael Argenziano (assistant professor of surgery, P&S), and Gerald Fischbach (P&S dean and executive vice president for health sciences)—along with Dr. Zev Rosenwaks, professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University—will speak on four consecutive Tuesdays about the impact of new technologies on medical specialties ranging from infertility and fetal diagnosis to surgery and stem cell research. The series is co-sponsored by Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and the American Museum of Natural History.
