ColumbiaDoctors joins the Department of Neurology in congratulating the recipients of the department’s P.R.I.D.E. Employee Recognition Award. The award recognizes employees who were nominated by their colleagues for demonstrating truly exceptional Professionalism, Respect, Initiative, Dedication, and Excellence (P.R.I.D.E.) in the workplace. Pictured (from left) are:

Barbara Almeida, adult neurology clinic Coordinator. Barbara is described by her colleagues as an “absolutely outstanding” professional, who is “constantly looking to do more to improve the clinic, her work, and herself.” She is “extremely compassionate with patients, staff, and residents alike” and, as such, is a “true asset to this department.”

Giselle Beltre, NI-3 support staff and movement disorders clinic coordinator.  Giselle was nominated by her colleagues for being “extremely helpful” and “a true example of a team player [who] goes to extraordinary lengths to help patients and co-workers.”

Greivy Vargas, pre-authorization team member. Greivy was praised for being “exceptional…from the moment she clocks in until the moment she clocks out!” She is a tireless “advocate for patients,” who routinely goes above and beyond to “assist them with what they need…every step of the way.”
