ColumbiaDoctors Ophthalmology Now Performing at Lincoln Center

ColumbiaDoctors Ophthalmology's new Lincoln Center location.

A rendering of the new ColumbiaDoctors Ophthalmology location near Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

ColumbiaDoctors Ophthalmology opened its newest location, the Robert Burch Family Eye Center, at 15 West 65th St., in the Lincoln Center neighborhood of Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The beautiful, purpose-built offices are an outstanding addition to ColumbiaDoctors’ expanding roster of modern, accessible, and patient-friendly clinical locations.

Putting our locally and nationally recognized doctors in this prime Manhattan location is clearly a benefit for patients seeking referrals for world-class care.

Located in the Lighthouse Guild International headquarters, the new facility offers a full range of services and specialty care in adult and pediatric ophthalmology, glaucoma, cornea disease, and retinal disease. It features five exam rooms, including one devoted to pediatric patients, as well as a state-of-the-art diagnostic center and two waiting areas, one for adults, the other for children. The Robert Burch Family Eye Center, which continues ColumbiaDoctors Ophthalmology’s efforts to extend care beyond the boundaries of the Washington Heights campus, complements the East Side facility, the Gloria and Louis Flanzer Vision Care Center, at 880 Third Ave., which opened in 2010.

Under the leadership of George Cioffi, MD, chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and director of the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute, ColumbiaDoctors Ophthalmology has recruited eight key faculty members since 2012. Among them are Steven Brooks, MD, the new chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology, who is spearheading an expansion of pediatric services at this new location, along with Lauren Yeager, MD. Also seeing patients at the new site will be the department’s new director of retina service, Tongalp Tezel, MD, as well as Drs. Srilaxmi Bearelly, Dana Blumberg, Leejee Suh, and Steven Trokel.

ColumbiaDoctors faculty are encouraged to explore the services available at the new location; upcoming events in the next few months will allow you to see for yourselves what’s happening at Lincoln Center. For more information, please call 212-305-9535, or visit www.columbiaeye.org
