Women in Westchester County now have access to outstanding obstetric and gynecological care from a new team of women-centered specialty and subspecialty physicians at ColumbiaDoctors’ new Scarsdale location, which opened in August.

The team also serves nearby NYP/Lawrence Hospital, enhancing care for the greater Westchester area. They are Anna Burgansky, MD; Nitasha Jain, MD; Pearl Lim, MD; Rachel McConnell, MD; Reut Moyal, MD; Michael Pitter, MD, and Constance Young, MD.

“We are excited to have recruited a phenomenal team of physicians to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and ColumbiaDoctors,” said chair Mary D’Alton, MD, Willard C. Rappleye Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and director of services at Sloane Hospital for Women.

“The new Scarsdale practice will allow our doctors to offer exceptional care to the families in Westchester County. Its convenient location provides easy access to our specialists in obstetrics and gynecology, and subspecialists in reproductive endocrinology and fertility, and gynecologic surgery.”

The practice is led by Anna Burgansky, MD, director of obstetrics & gynecology (Ob/Gyn) and chief of the division of general Ob/Gyn at NYP/Lawrence Hospital. She is an assistant professor of obstetrics & gynecology at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC). Dr. Burgansky practices general obstetrics and gynecology and has a special interest in clinical quality improvement and enhancement of patient safety.

The practice includes three additional general Ob/Gyn physicians: Reut Moyal, MD; Nitasha Jain, MD; and Pearl J. Lim, MD. They provide care for women through all different life stages, from preventive care, to a “whole person” approach to prenatal and obstetrical care, and treatment of various gynecologic conditions, which can range from dietary changes to laparoscopic surgery.

Pioneering gynecologic surgeon Michael C. Pitter, MD, serves as director of robotic surgery at NYP/Lawrence Hospital. Dr. Pitter specializes in performing complex pelvic surgery with an emphasis on fertility-sparing techniques using advanced laparoscopy and telerobotic surgery.

The group practice is also complemented by Constance Young, MD, who specializes in gynecology and gynecologic surgery, and reproductive endocrinologist Rachel Ann McConnell, MD.

Lawrence Hospital has six labor and delivery rooms, two operating rooms, a three-bed triage unit, three recovery room beds, and a newly renovated, all-private 23-room postpartum unit.

The location, at 696 White Plains Road, is based in the centrally situated Vernon Hills Shopping Center. To refer a patient to the Scarsdale office, call (914) 723-7000. More information is available at (inpatient) and (outpatient).
