P&S Dean's Honors Luncheon 2016

P&S Dean's Honors Luncheon

Every year, Lee Goldman, MD, dean of the Faculties of Health Sciences and Medicine, hosts an event to recognize P&S faculty who received notable appointments, promotions, honors, or awards during the academic year. For this year's event, honorees enjoyed a luncheon on June 24 with special performances by the P&S Musicians' Guild and Bard Hall Players, including a rendition of Cole Porter's lighthearted "You're the Top."

Dr. Goldman made remarks to the group and offered congratulations to groups of promoted faculty in between performances, praising faculty for their personal achievements and contributions to excellence at P&S. In the 2015-2016 academic year, he noted, the number of newly tenured faculty, promotions to professor, and promotions to associate professor all increased compared with 2014-2015 figures. He also recognized many faculty accomplishments from outside of the university, with numerous honors from national and international organizations.

A full listing of faculty who were honored is available in the printed program.
